Una, hindi po ako gumagamit ng Kokuryo Summer Cake upang maging kasing-liwanag ng araw ang aking fez. Hindi ko kailangan ng make-up para maging maganda. Malapad lang na bibig ay ayos na.

Aliw na aliw ang lola niyo kagabi dahil sa wakas ay natupad na ang kanyang pangarap na makajonta sa Aliwan Fiesta. Tinaguriang “Festival of all festivals,” ang Aliwan Fiesta ay isang malaking gathering ng mga pista mula sa lahat ng sulok ng Pilipinas.

Ang mega-highlight ditech ay ang street dance competition ng mga festivals na kasali. Day, ngayong taon 26 na festivals (yata) ang nakadalo, ang iba pa nga’y nanggaling pa sa kasuluk-sulukan ng Shariff Kabunsuan (bagong province ‘yan, along with the Dinagat Islands).

Nag-beg off si Svelte na sumama sa akin dahil sa kanyang mga appointments churvey, pero aketch talaga kailangan makadalo by hook or by hook.

On May 8, 9 and 10, 2007, the search is on for the cast of PILIPINAS CIRCA 1907, the company’s season opener. Auditions for this Philippine zarzuela will be held at the Bulwagang Amado Hernandez, Upper Ground Floor, Tanghalang Pambansa, CCP Complex, Roxas Blvd., Pasay City, from 6:00 to 10:00 PM.

The Great Tribute to Weng Weng

Filipinos today may not realize it, but a 2′ 9″ action star is beginning to become an international sensation.

Weng Weng, who appeared as leading man in a handful of James Bond parody films in the 1970’s, caught the attention of thousands of international fans who have watched him in DVDs throwing a razor-blade hat to some goon’s neck.  In fact, the Guiness Record holder (the shortest actor in a leading role) has a French fansite.
