Philippine Idol Updates: Apple, Ken, and Armarie Form New Singing Group

5 07 2007

I have been wanting to write about this, but the accompanying YouTube clips prohibit embedding.  Not anymore.

Anyway, Philippine Idol finalists Applie Chiu, Ken Dingle, and Armarie Cruz banded together and formed “AKA.” They are currently doing the rounds in the hotel lounge circuit.

Good thing to hear Ken not messing up on the songs, jazz songs at that. Now if only he was this good back in the day…Hmmm…

This is just to show that there really is life after Philippine Idol. I mean, could somebody tell what the heck happened to the Yachang and Pokwang look-alikes over at Pinoy Big Brother Talent Portion?

Video after the jump.

The hotel lounge circuit’s not THAT BAD…I mean who wouldn’t want to sing for a bunch of drunk businessmen and married people who have secret affairs…

It’s still a heckuva lot better than what some other finalists are doing… um… what are the other finalists doing?

In fairness, by the way, they sound awesome. Even Ken does pretty good. Arms, as smooth as silk. And Apple, what can we say? Apple is amazing.

Make a website, AKA! Suportahan ta ka!

@ isagani – The last time I’ve heard about Rosita the Pokwang look-alike was that she played the role of a manananggal. See what her aspiring singing career has gotten herself into.

@ JRothschild – As long as the tip is great😉

@ Ganns – You probably have heard about Reymond becoming a representative to this year’s WCOPA, then we have Pow returning to her band (and she’s dating Jelli), Drae is taking a second course in St. Benilde (Music Production).

@ dazedblu – It’s rare to hear such good singing talents here, especially in cheesy television.

@ Lyka – Mare, lyk na lyk ko rin sila ever!
