Philippine Idol Updates: Vote Gian and Miguel as Candy Cuties

This may seem juvenile, but hey, everything for the P.I.!

Fans of Philippine Idol are encouraged to vote for Gian Magdangal and Miguel Mendoza to be part of the Top 20 Candy Cuties.

This annual poll of Candy Magazine is based on online votes from members of its website as well as discretion from the magazine staff.

Gian and Miguel are part of 135 cuties in the shortlist, consisting of college heartthrobs, local and foreign celebs, musicians, athletes, etc. The 20 winners will be featured on October issue of Candy Magazine.

All you have to do is to register at the Candy Cuties site and cast your votes. Yup, you can vote up to 20 guys, so please include Gian and Miguel in your list. I already did!

Random Hot Men: Simon Atkins, a Sight for Sore Eyes

The people have spoken. Maruja’s readers prefer Simon Atkins over Kirk Long. So that means we want to see more of him, right?

Well, wish granted.

Simon Atkins is the latest endorser of Hanford Innerwear, with billboards blazing across EDSA making little girls (and some little boys) squeal with delight.

Philippines Next Top Model: The Final Revolution…Finally

After all that was said and done, the drama, the making nice, the budget constraints, the awkward use of English, and the constant beeps from Ruffa Text, Philippines’ Next Top Model comes to a close.

Only two girls remain in the competition: Rina, a Junior Management Trainee from Parañaque; and Grendel, a student from Bacolod.

As part of their final challenge, the girls underwent a TV advertisement and photo shoot for L’Oreal. Here’s Rina’s best shot…

So who won? Who received the fabulous modeling representation from Starz Modeling Agency in Hong Kong, a modeling contract from Saga events, half a million pesos courtesy of Mane and Tail Shampoo, an eight-page fashion spread at Preview Magazine, endorsement contracts, body sculpting sessions, etc. etc. etc?
